A deteriorating concrete floor slab within the cook room and adjacent storage area of the existing facility required the installation of a 4,300 square foot reinforced, 4 inch thick concrete overlay on top of the existing concrete floor. The existing floor finishes in both areas, which consisted of an epoxy finish in the cook room and a wood block wearing surface in the storage area, were removed as well as any loose deteriorated concrete before the new concrete overlay was installed. Additional repairs included replacing inadequate existing patches on the underside of the concrete floor slab and infilling several existing floor openings.
