The new Enkei Florida plant, which is Enkei’s third manufacturing facility in the U.S. and ninth worldwide, was scheduled in five phases on a 22-acre site. The first phase was a 30,000 square foot warehouse and the second phase was a 35,000 square foot manufacturing plant. The manufacturing facility features a casting line and two machining lines; a quality control lab; and a mold maintenance shop. An explosion-proof paint storage room was also added to accompany a future painting line. The buildings were constructed using site-cast, tilt-up, concrete panels and conventional structural steel.
