New five-story, 11,000 square foot private residence in the Amelia Island Plantation adjacent to a golf course and the ocean. The structure consists of prefabricated light gauge metal roof trusses and post-tensioned concrete floor slabs bearing on 8” and 12” masonry and concrete walls and founded on a shallow foundation. The fifth floor rooftop conservatory is composed of a bolted inner 4-sided aluminum frame and enclosed by an outer 4-sided stainless steel frame with glass windows and light gauge metal stud kneewalls. The rooftop movie screenwall is constructed of cast-in-place concrete supported on top of a post-tensioned concrete roof slab.
