New 7,200 square foot two story addition to the existing structure consisting of a new Fellowship Hall, classroom and office spaces. An interior load bearing masonry wall was removed for additional seating which necessitated the installation of a side-by-side tube steel frame to support the remaining portion of masonry wall and the existing roof framing above while utilizing the existing shallow foundations.
The roof structure of the new addition consists of prefabricated wood trusses and the floor structure consists of a concrete slab on metal deck on top of open web steel joists. Both the roof and floor framing elements are supported by a tube steel skeleton with light gauge metal wall studs as infill. The entire structure is founded on shallow foundations.
